The Trailblazers Academy student body accurately reflects the rich diversity of our community while serving those students most in need of our specialized approach. There are many different activities and programs available to students.

A variety of academic and extra curricular opportunities are offered for both boys and girls. Students are encouraged take an active part in clubs, organizations and athletic programs

        • Trailblazers Academy students are also involved in several regional academic competitions, including: Odyssey of the Mind, CT History Day and MathCounts.

          LION’S DEN (AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM)

          Hours of Operation:

          • Monday – Thursday: 3:30pm – 6:30pm
          • Friday: CLOSED
          • Early Dismissal: 11:00am – 4pm
          • School closed, LD open: 9:00am – 4:00pm
            • Transportation:

              Transportation is provided for those young people who need a ride home after they participate in the after-school program. Bus stops are available in most parts of Stamford. If the bus doesn’t go to a certain area of Stamford, we provide students with a ride in the gold van.

              Programs at Lion’s Den:

              • Studio LD: Kids get a chance to work and record music and videos
              • Crunch Time: Time of the day kids are given time to do homework, group reading, & math.
              • Cooking: Teaches kids about cooking and eating healthy
              • Sports: Kids do wide variety of different sports during the seasons: football, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, softball, and etc…
              • Paw Club: Kids get the opportunity to do work in the community of Stamford and their school
              • Fitness First: Kids get the chance to work out and stay in shape in a different array of activities from weight lifting, doing cardio, and many other types of exercises.
