The Trailblazers Academy student body accurately reflects the rich diversity of our community while serving those students most in need of our specialized approach. There are many different activities and programs available to students.

A variety of academic and extra curricular opportunities are offered for both boys and girls. Students are encouraged take an active part in clubs, organizations and athletic programs

Trailblazers Academy students are also involved in several regional academic competitions, including: Odyssey of the Mind, CT History Day and MathCounts.

LION’S DEN (AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM)

Students who participate in Lion’s Den attend Trailblazers Academy during the school day. The staff works with students to address the barriers to success. This is done through counseling, group activities, assisting in developing new skills, and working on literacy with each student. Our goal is to move each student further along academically.

Lion’s Den hours are:

Monday through Thursday: 3:30pm – 6:30pm

Friday:12:30pm – 5:30pm

Transportation is provided for students who stay after-school for Lion’s Den.
